High-performance copolymers
Radipol® cs copolymers are produced using advanced technologies to chemically combine two types of polyamide: polyamide 6 (PA6) and polyamide 66 (PA66). This copolymerisation process allows the characteristic properties of both polyamides to be combined to create a new material with benefits such as improved mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance or other specific properties required by the applications for which they are intended.
Specifically, these materials are ideal for the production of plastics, the extrusion of monofilaments and the extrusion and co-extrusion of packaging film. They are designed to support various film processing techniques, both orientated and non-orientated, monolayer and multilayer co-extruded films. Radipol® cs is also used in the packaging industry, where its thermoforming properties allow the production of shaped and deep packaging whilst also ensuring transparency, resistance and safety.
Furthermore, the material is retractable and adapts to different shapes, for an enveloping effect, and its heat resistance makes it suitable for packaging hot products. Thanks to its chemical resistance, safety in terms of the release of chemical substances is guaranteed. It also works effectively as a gas barrier, preventing the dispersion of harmful agents and prolonging the shelf life of packaged products. It offers notable mechanical resistance (preventing breakages and perforations) and puncture resistance (allowing for the safe packaging of sharp objects). Finally, Radipol® cs complies with European and FDA regulations regarding contact with foodstuffs.
